Horror Film - Midsommar

Horror Film - Midsommar

One of the series of posts I had started before my hiatus was about all of the horror films I was watching prior to Halloween. Now, unfortunately I stopped posting what I was watching and I also did not get to watch as many as I had hoped. I wanted to go ahead and write about the best horror film that I watched, Midsommar.

Midsommar is from 2019, is directed by Ari Aster and is about a group of friends who travel to Sweden for a rural village’s festival. Now, it is hard for me to write about why I love this film so much without straying into spoiler territory, I will say that one of the main story lines of the film is, if done right, will always make a film top notch in my book. There are two things that I specifically want to give notice to is just how amazing that opening scene is and how spectacular Florence Pugh is in her role. I immediately bought this film right after watching it which should speak volumes as to how much I enjoyed it. I would give Midsommar a 9.0.
