Pre-Halloween Horror Film #1 - The Beyond

I am planning on trying to watch as many horror films as I can before Halloween (my goal is 50 and they will all be movies I have not seen before), I will write about every single film I watch. They will be brief write-ups and I won’t post any spoilers. After I finish watching these movies, I will start writing more detailed reviews of movies. The first film that I watched is The Beyond

The Beyond is from 1981 and was directed by Lucio Fulci. It is about a woman who inherits a hotel in Louisiana that happened to be built over an entrance to hell.

While I will admit that the plot is pretty incoherent, the gore and overall special effects were quite good, especially for a film from 1981. Overall, I will say that the movie was decent, it is not my favorite Fulci movie, but it is good for what it is. I have changed my mind and have decided to give these movies ratings on a 10 point scale, I will give The Beyond a 7.2.
